This includes notices of meetings; drafts of memorandum for an alternative plan for the reorganization of surgery at McGill University and the Royal Victoria Hospital (1945); two copies of a summary of minutes for the McGill University Selection Committee on Chair for Surgery (1944); agendas; letters of consideration and nomination of individuals for the appointment as full-time professor of surgery; and appointments to the Medical Board of the Royal Victoria Hospital.
The file contains the Sub-Committee Reports of the McGill Teaching Curriculum Committee including the teaching of specialities; two reports of the basic sciences committee; two interim reports of the sub-committee on student assessment and counselling; the final report of the sub-committee on joint and integrated teaching; the minutes of the meeting of the clinical sub-committee; two reports of the sub-committee on medicine as a social science; a summary of recommendations reached by the clinical sub-committee; discussions of the pre-clinical committee; a resolution ‘Medicine in relation to society’; and a report draft for the curriculum committee, 1956.
The file contains the correspondence about the Hobart Anderson Springle Memorial Fund, including documentation for the original donation and subsequent support, the Levinson Bequest which was added to the fund and over expenditures which occurred.

In addition, there is correspondence about donations and grants for research in the University Medical Clinic, and Wilder Penfield’s acceptance of membership on various selection committees.
