This file contains documents related to management, purchase, and sale of land by members of the Hall family between 21 January 1719 and 20 February 1832. The documents chiefly concern land owned by Jacob, John, and Benjamin Hall in Montreal and nearby Hinchinbrooke. These are chiefly legal documents including deeds of sale, certificates of ownership and discharges of mortgage, correspondence, and an inventory of farming equipment from one of their properties. The file also contains rental and maintenance agreements, and documents related to the sale of land and shares of a bridge in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Documents in the file are arranged in chronological order.
