The series is comprised of personal and appointment diaries, recording Dr. Penfield's work engagements, personal thoughts, and travels between 1904 and 1976. The series also includes two scrap books and several diaries by Dr. Penfield's wife, Helen Kermott Penfield.
The file contains a scrapbook from 1905-1917 about the Galahad School. It includes lists of students, a history of the school, events, newspaper clippings, poetry, short essays, recitals, copies of the Galahad Signet newsletter and postcards and photographs. Wilder Penfield is listed as a student between 1905 and 1909, when he graduated. A note at the end states that the Galahad School was closed in 1917 and the teachers went to training camps.

The file contains a diary, potentially Wilder Penfield’s, inscribed with “Diary: D. Kermott 1910” and it covers the dates July 9th 1910 until 1912. It contains lines of verse, stories, lists of christmas presents received 1911, list of books wanted, list of songs “Lest we forget the old songs”, and a list of “books and plays I have read”.
