Letter to Harvey Cushing from Nicholas Murray Butler, National Committee of the United States for the Restoration of the University of Louvain, 407 West 117th Street, New York, New York, USA. Butler responds to Cushing's inquiries about the project to rebuild the library at the University of Louvain. Osler's involvement in the project was likely due to early refugees who went to Oxford from Louvain, and who appealed to him for help in the matter. [For more details see CUS417/22.8]

Letter to Harvey Cushing from G.J. Coy, The Johns Hopkins University, Medical Department, Office of the Dean, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Coy writes that Osler was Dean of the Medical School for only one year, 1898-1899. Osler was not present at the Commencement exercises of that year - Acting Dean Welch presented the candidates in his place. Coy has a bound volume of articles from English newspapers from the time of Osler's death that he believes will be of interest to Cushing.

Letter to Harvey Cushing from A.H. Young, Dean of Residence, Trinity College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Degree of D.C.L. was conferred upon Osler on the occasion of the celebration of the Jubilee of the opening of Trinity College in June 1902. The Degree was also conferred upon Mr. E. Douglas Armour, J.P. Whitney, Richard Harcourt, Sir James Whitney, and many other men.

Letter to Harvey Cushing from W.H. Howell. Howell supplies Cushing information for entry CUS417/97.28. Howell believes the letter refers to special evenings he and Osler were planning for the medical students and members of the Faculty.
