He is particularly proud of finding books by Linacre and Glisson, and of almost completing his set of Sir Thomas Browne works. He confesses that he made a few everyday remarks at the Virchow dinner and, therefore, did not have them printed up. He urges Ogden to get Batchelor to publish his work on acute pancreatitis.
