This file contains typed and handwritten correspondence and telegrams, mostly between Henry Watts & Company, Hugh C. Barr, and Henry Leighton of the Canadian Pacific Irrigation Colonization Company, as well as some messages to and from people buying land.

November 1911

This file contains an agreement between Henry Watts and Company and Henry Leighton and Orville N. Gilbert of Canadian Pacific Irrigation Colonization Company, regarding their arrangement for the former to sell land owned by the latter. Also contains a handwritten letter from J.H. Bell and L.M.S. Bell to H.C. Barr.

This file contains typed and handwritten correspondence, primarily between Henry Watts and H.C. Barr, an employee of Henry Watts and Company. Correspondence chiefly concerns updates about potential sales, especially a large sale lead by a Mr. Brandt, as well as farm management. Also includes some letters from people interested in purchasing land and a list of potential buyers.

This file contains typed and handwritten correspondence, primarily from H.C. Barr to Henry Watts. These letters contain personal news and discuss the weather and crops in Alberta (including the effects of an ongoing drought), excitement about oil discoveries in the area, news of other farms and businesses, and advice about the availability of work and viability of land sales. The file also includes one letter from Leighton and Gilbert Company to Henry Watts requesting the payment of interest from an account.

This file contains a handwritten letter from H.C. Barr to Henry Watts. The letter discusses a miner who wishes to buy land owned by Watt, a new law that levied a tax on undeveloped farmland at 1$/acre, Barr's steps toward collecting unpaid commission from O.N. Gilbert, and information about land managed by the Pittsburgh-Alberta company.
