Fonds documents Burton Chance's links with Casey A. Wood from 1922 until Wood's death in 1942. The fonds contains correspondence between the two men, reprints of C.A. Wood and letters from various correspondents concerning C.A. Wood.

There are also some papers of Mrs. W.H. Drummond, including a typescript of her Life of W.H. Drummond; and diaries recording her trips to United States and Canada, 1892, 1903.

The collection contains correspondence, curriculum vitae, a poem written by his wife, Elizabeth Turnor, a record of medical examinations for the Coroner's Court of Montreal, 1894 and lectures notes. The greater part of the notes consists of embryology notes made at the Anatomisches Institut, Munich, around 1900.
