George Edward Tremble Fonds

George Edward Tremble was born in 1896 and was Surgeon Sub-Lieutenant of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve prior to receiving his M.D., C.M. from McGill University in 1921. He was a resident of Westmount.
After completing his medical education, he became otolaryngologist at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. He entered private practice around 1928. In 1935, he coauthored a paper with Dr. Penfield titled "Operative Exposure of the Facial Canal. Removal of Tumour of the Greater Superficial Petrosal Nerve".
Gift of the estate of G.E. Tremble, 26 February 1979. Old accession number 647.
Fonds contains G.E. Tremble's notes on the anatomy of the ear from lectures by Professor Ruttin at the University of Edinburgh in 1924, a letter from Dr. Wilder Penfield and a photograph of a case of 1935. The fonds includes a notebook, a letter and a photograph.
