The fonds documents Edward P. Hurd's activities as a medical student at McGill, 1861-1867. The fonds contains lecture notes, notebooks and certificates.

The fonds consists chiefly of student notebooks kept by F. Clarke Fraser while an undergraduate at Acadia University during the late 1930s-1940. They represent a variety of subjects, including zoology, physics, mathematics, and biology. Two notebooks date from his Med IV year (1949-1950) at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, one with ophthalmology lab and clinical notes and reading and lecture notes, and one an obstetrical diary from the Montreal Maternity Hospital. Also included is a later reprint of an article (published 1957), loose notes, and a photograph of F. Clarke Fraser and a companion dining at the Montreal restaurant Au lutin qui bouffe, famous for its resident piglet, which restaurant-goers were often photographed holding and feeding.

Richard Preston Prichard Fonds
The fonds includes two McGill University hand-books, 1913-1914 and 1914-1915 with brief notes referring to his activities as a student; three booklets of notes taken in Embryology, [191?], Histology, 1914 and one [unspecified] booklet of notes, [191?]. A newspaper clipping from the Chronicle: “The Kaiser and the Lusitania: Torpedoed against his wishes,” August 13, 1917; inventory from the Imperial War Museum of “The Papers of Mrs. G. S. Prichard” (mother to Prichard) relating to the correspondence between Mrs. Prichard and survivors of the Lusitania in search for news of her son during the sinking; Royal Bank of Canada Pass Book from Ewing, Alberta with records of Prichard’s cheque book activities from 1912-1914; a letter detailing investments (on McGill letterhead) dated January 22, 1914, is included inside the Royal Bank Pass Book.

Fonds contains lecture notes taken by Robert Struthers at McGill Medical College in 1881-1882, including notes on Pathology, Surgery and Ophthalmology. Lecturers include Robert Palmer Howard, Sir Thomas Roddick and Sir William Osler. There is also a case report by Struthers. The fonds includes two notebooks and a case report.

Fonds shows T.F. Cotton's activities as a student at McGill University, 1903-1909. The fonds contains 24 bound notebooks with lectures notes taken by Cotton, 1903-1909, for courses in Medicine, Political Science, History, French Literature, English Composition and Literature. There is also a case book containing electrocardiograms and a volume of ophthalmology lecture notes bearing the name George C. Hale.

The collection consists of Dr. Powles handwritten notes on some of his medical lectures between 1940 and 1943 as well as three files of course notes related to neurosurgery and neurology, 1943; psychiatry 1942-1950; and sociology, anthropology 1948-1949. There are laboratory note books with drawings, some printed copies of selected exams and printed laboratory handouts. One file contains material relating to his attendance at the Officers' Training School in Brockville, Ontario in 1944 and other papers relating to his service career. There are two maps of military exercises in the North.
In addition there are 2 files of correspondence regarding academic appointments at the University of Cincinnati (1958-1966) and Queen's University (1966- ), and one scrapbook page containing individual sketches of C.P. Martin, Hans Selye, Dr. Dworkin, and David Thompson with clippings on the reverse about a wedding.
There are twelve photographs, one of which is a group photograph of the officers at the Training School.

William Henry Drummond Family Fonds
Papers consist of personal correspondence, including substantial family correspondence, diaries, journals, engagement books, ledgers, menus, manuscript poems, galley proofs, lecture notes, scrapbooks, and photographs. It includes correspondence, 1874-1935; a diary of Drummond's trip to Great Britain, 1902; dinner menus, 1902-1903; engagement books, 1902-1906; galley proofs, 1905-1911; Journal of Impressions kept at Savanna la Mar, Jamaica, Windsor and Montreal, 1903-1911; lecture notes taken at McGill, 1878-1882; ledgers containing financial entries and patients' accounts during Drummond's practice in Knowlton and Montreal, 1885-1889; notebooks containing manuscripts poems, drafts and clippings, 1894-1909; scrapbooks related to literary topics, including clippings about Drummond's public readings, and book reviews, 1854-1907 and scrapbooks related to Drummond's dogs, 1890-1907. There are also some papers of Mrs. W.H. Drummond, including a typescript of her Life of W.H. Drummond; and diaries recording her trips to United States and Canada, 1892, 1903.
