Letter to Robert Palmer Howard, 1872

Letter to Robert Palmer Howard from William Osler. Osler responds to Howard's letter CUS417/68.12. He is disappointed that his prospects as an ophthalmic surgeon are blighted by the possibility of Dr. Morgan transferring to Montreal. He will now begrudgingly enter into general practice. He would like to hear something definite about his future connection to McGill, and has written to the Dean to that effect. He writes of his Laboratory work in England and mentions Burdon-Sanderson, James Barlow and Dr. Ringer.
