Of special relevance are the experiments pertaining to the optical activity caused by the restriction of the rotation of a trivalent nitrogen atom. It includes material produced at the Sir William Dunn Institute of Biochemistry related to oxidation reduction systems with particular relevance to the reduction of glutathione and the study of peroxidases in milk and horseradishes. This sub-series is comprised of 4 files (files no. 1 to 4), which are arranged chronologically.

Research notes, 1931-1933.

Typescript of “The Haematin Content of Horseradish Peroxidase” by K.A.C. Elliott and D. Keilin (c. 1933). Includes correspondence between Dr. Keilin and K.A.C. Elliott, concerning revision, a copy of referee’s report, and manuscript research notes on peroxidises in milk and horseradishes.
