Exterior view photograph. Hospitality Pavilion exterior (lot A-217). The Hospitality Pavilion, sponsored by Natural Gas, was conceived as the welcoming centre for women at Expo. This one storey pavilion made use of wood for both interior and exterior finishes in effort to convey a feeling of warmth and invitation. Inside, it's spacious main lobby was flanked with lounges and VIP rooms. Fashion and craft shows were among those featured in the pavilion's assembly hall. Hospitality hostesses were available to facilitate meetings for interested members of various women's organizations. Four interlocking rectangular volumes with sloping roofs. Structural steel with B.C. fir rough sawn vertical slat exterior. (S: 125' x 135' --- A: 8,900 sq. ft. --- H: 34')
