    Biographical history

    George H. Christie, born in 1852, was the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Christie. Dr. George H. Christie graduated with the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University in 1872 and practiced in Lachute, Quebec. He died in 1914.

    Custodial history

    The fonds was donated to the Osler Library by Miss Rosamond Lamb, Montreal, Mrs. W.V. Hobbs, Oakville, Ontario, and Mr. George C. Lamb, Roxboro, Quebec, 3 July 1975. Old accession number 528.

    Scope and content

    Fonds documents Dr. George H. Christie's medical education at McGill University and the Montreal General Hospital, 1868-1872, as well as his licences issued by professionnal associations, 1874. The fonds contains admission cards, a diploma, certificates and a receipt.
