The two storey Ethiopian Pavilion was reportedly a virtual copy of a near 100 year old Ethiopian building here executed with modern materials and techniques. A wide entrance staircase took visitors first to the mezzanine level where they enjoyed an Ethiopian coffee bar. Interior staircases then guided visitors to the lower level area. The roof interior was decorated with a series of painting on canvas depicting Ethiopian history and famous people. The lower level consisted of an exhibition area and cinema. Exhibits emphasised native animals, natural resources and artist's work. Conical tent. Bolted rigid structural steel frame (demountable). Spruce balloon frame clad with bamboo tubes.
