File consists of original correspondence with Abraham de Sola. Some of the correspondence refers to de Sola's appointment as Professor of Hebrew and Oriental Literature at McGill College In 1848, as well as a letter announcing that he had received a Doctor of Laws (honoris causa). The remainder of the correspondence is related to de Sola's position as Reverend of Shearlth Israel (Montreal).
