Rabié / no. 12 / une Branche de Cirgoüelier, avec sa feuille, et son fruit, grandeur naturelle, 1775. ce fruit dont on mange la pulpe, quand il est mur, est peu estimé.

Inscription (from verso; translation): no. 9. A branch of the jocote plant, with its leaf and its fruit, natural size. Made at Cap-Haïtien 8 October 1775. Rabié / no. 12 / A branch of the jocote plant, with its leaf, and its fruit, natural size, 1775. This fruit, of which the pulp is eaten, when it is ripe, is held in low regard.
