Box contains 7 folders of photographic prints, chiefly black and white prints with a few duplicate prints in colour. The pictures have no latitude or longitude data, so the precise locations in the photographs cannot be determined. Each photograph has a multi-component identification number (handwritten on the negative) as part of the image, in a standard format, indicating sets of photographs. The first and last images in each set (when present) provide supplementary identification data, including the date and the general location. Some photos have pen lines or annotations drawn on them in blue or red ink.
The black and white prints are captioned "12. Air Photo Division, Energy, Mines & Resources - Canadian Govt. Copyright" (colour prints are not captioned). The sets of photographs are as follows:

Consists of 53 photos, numbered 1 to 53; photos 33 to 35 are missing. The "Start" photo is numbered "1-53". The "End" photo is numbered 53. The Start and End photos omit the "/69/" element from their identification number because the full date (9 August 1969) appears as supplementary data on each image, along with the phrases "Map Lines 6,1, Inuvik, N.W.T., Burnt Area".

Consists of 128 photos, numbered 1 to 128, grouped into two folders; photos 8 to 10, and 84 to 86, are missing. The "Start" photo is numbered "1-128". The "End" photo is numbered 128. The Start and End photos omit the "/69/" element from their identification number because the full date (9 August 1969) appears as supplementary data on each image, along with the phrases "Map Lines 1-5, Inuvik, N.W.T., Burnt Area".

One set of black-and-white prints and one set of colour prints, both incomplete. The colour set, which has both "Start" and "End" photos, indicates that a full set consists of 73 photos, the main batch comprising photos 1 to 72 (dated 7 August 1969) plus a single supplementary photo labeled "72 + 1 - Y" (dated 9 August 1969). The Start and End photos include the "/69/" element in their identification number and also include the phrase "Inuvik, N.W.T., Burnt Area". Photo 1 gives the phrase "Map lines 2, 1, 2, 1" for the main batch of photos and the phrase "Map lines 2, 3" for the supplementary photo.

There are no "Start" and "End" photos; the first photo present in each set is numbered 7 and the last one is numbered 50. Photos 35 and 36 from this set show topographical features which are recognizable in photos 105 and 100 of set RS/RC8/69/6/2448 (whose Start and End photo give the general location as "Inuvik, N.W.T., Burnt Area.")
