New York: Schuman. Front page signed by W.W. Francis. Page IX has a reference to W.W. Francis. William Willoughby Francis responds in ink, "I protested this wording which begs the question. Where a 16th century 'V' represents the small 'u', it is an inexact spelling to transcribe it as a small 'v.' W.W. Francis." In pencil "...Vesalius would turn in his grave."
