1.05 m of textual records and other material
Series contains typed and annotated chapter drafts, manuscripts, printed galleys, draft illustrations, correspondence related to publications, typed and handwritten research notes, newspaper and magazine clippings, photographs, hand drawn and annotated maps, and various published materials related to Dewdney’s career as a writer. Notable works include: Christoper Breton, Wind Without Rain, They Shared to Survive, The Case for Pacifism, Indian Rock Paintings of the Great Lakes, and Birchbark Art of the Ojibway Midewewin. Loose material has been kept in the original order in which it was found, with the exception of the majority of files located in Box 6. Series contains correspondence related to various writing projects, but the majority of correspondence is located in Series 3.
Files contain newspaper clippings, photographic prints, and pencil drawings that require interleaving with acid-free paper. Some staples have rusted and should be replaced.
