Letter to William Osler from James Bovell (Jimmie) Johnson, "The Parsonage", Weston, Ontario, Canada. Jimmie heard from Mr. Barwick in Toronto that Bovell would not return until the following Spring. He is anxious for his father, W.A. Johnson, to make up his mind about sending him to Toronto or Montreal for school. He relates news of Frank Checkley and Charles Miles. He urges Osler to stop by the Parsonage before leaving for Montreal. Incl. ms. notes.

He describes a curious specimen he found in the Humber and includes drawings of it. He hopes Professor Hincks will be able to identify it. He asks Osler for a French version of Abeillon's "Blessed Sacraments."
