History

Rev. Robert S. Patterson was born in 1801 in Nova Scotia, Canada.

He was a Presbyterian clergyman. He graduated from Pictou Academy and received his M.A. degree from Glasgow University in 1824. He was ordained to the Bedeque Church, Prince Edward Island, in 1826 and remained there as minister until his death in 1882.

In 1828, he married Catherine Fraser (–1832), in 1832, he married Elizabeth Montgomery (1803–1844), and in 1848, Helen Ramsay (1804–1870). He died on September 16, 1882, in North Bedeque, Prince Edward Island.
