History

The firm of Nobbs and Nobbs represents the partnership of Percy Erskine Nobbs (1875-1964) and his son Francis John Nobbs (b. 1912). Francis Nobbs joined his father's practice in 1945, one year after the death of Percy Nobbs' partner George Taylor Hyde (1879-1944). Nobbs and Nobbs worked as partners until 1960 when Francis Nobbs set up his own practice. The three projects in the CAC archives contain architectural drawings, photographs, and correspondence relating to the practice of Nobbs and Nobbs.
