        History

        Alexander McLean was a farmer born in Scotland in approximately 1814. He moved to Quebec and purchased land in Hinchinbrooke from the Hall family in 1851. He lived there with his wife Janet and their children, John, Malcolm, Lachlan, Agnes, William, Jane, Janet, and Alexander. He died on 25 November 1884.
