James G. McKeen or MacKeen was born in 1817 in Mabou Harbour, Nova Scotia. He was the son of the Honourable William McKeen. In 1880, he was U.S. Consular Agent in Arichat; in 1884, he was U.S. Consular Agent in Port Hastings. He died in 1885 in Port Hastings.
