Lichfield, Thomas Francis Anson, Earl of, 1856-1918

Thomas Francis Anson, 3rd Earl of Lichfield, was born on January 31, 1856, in London, England.
He was a British landowner and bank director. He was educated at Harrow, and Trinity College, Cambridge (B.A., 1876). A great temperance campaigner, he also served as Justice of the Peace and County Alderman for county Stafford. He succeeded his father as the 3rd Earl of Lichfield on January 7, 1892.
In 1878, he married Lady Mildred Coke (1854–1941). He died in a shooting accident on July 29, 1918, in Stafford, Staffordshire, England.
