History

James Kennedy was a farmer and labourer who lived in Hinchinbrook, Quebec, and Burke, New York. He was born in Ireland in approximately 1813. He had migrated to Quebec by the late 1830s. James married Melvina Henderson, and they had 7 children together: Samuel, Charlotte, Rachel, Edward, Andrew, Jane, and Frank. Sometime between 1861 and 1875, the family moved to the United States, where they lived in Burke, New York State. James died on 1 September 1886 in Burke.
