Frederick “Fred” Kaempfer, Jr. was a prominent Chicago taxidermist, bird dealer, and birdseed manufacturer. He took over and continued the well-known natural history and taxidermy supply business originally established in Chicago in 1857 by his father, a noted taxidermist from Germany, Frederick Kaempfer, Sr. (1833–1898).
