History

Louis A. George Jacques was born in 1847. He graduated with a medical degree from University of Montreal in 1873 and began practicing as an allopathic physician and surgeon in Montreal towards the end of the 19th century. He is listed in Lovell's Montreal Directory as keeping a practice at 160 Amherst Street in the 1880s and later 220 Amherst in the 1890s.

He died August 1915 and was buried at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. After his death, it seems his brother V. G. Jacques inherited his practice.
