Jones that had her removed from Taplow and, furthermore, that Jones would like her to be reinstated to her old post. She believes that H.A. Bruce and Mrs. Astor were responsible for her unfair dismissal from Taplow. She thanks Osler and Lady Osler for all their help throughout the ordeal.

Nicholson describes his antagonistic relationship with the Vice Chancellor of the Bodleian Library. He claims that his health worsened when the board of Curators did not allow him to attend their catalogue revision meeting. He sends Osler, who is traveling through Europe, a Staff Kalendar and information on the Radcliffe Library.

Jackson asks for Osler's help in the matter.
