Notes by Osler from 1873 regarding cases of Trichinosis in Canada. According to Cushing, this information was published in a paper dated July 17, 1876.

Letter to Harvey Cushing from Minis Hays, American Philosophical Society, 104 South 5th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Hays does not believe that Osler attended the International Congress of Medicine at Philadelphia in 1876. He suggests that Cushing consult the original registration manuscript kept in the Library of the College of Physicians in Philadelphia.

"The Graduates' Society of McGill University." The Society has decided to honour Dr. Dawson on his 25th year as Principal of McGill by raising $30,000 to establish "The Dawson Principalship Foundation." Osler served as vice-president of the Society.

Cushing's handwritten manuscript notes regarding Osler's titles and appointments earned by 1877, including Professor of Physiology at McGill and in the Veterinary College of Montreal.

Letter to Harvey Cushing from Francis John Shepherd, 152, Mansfield Street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Shepherd believes that Osler once wrote to him about the death of Mills, a Professor of Physiology at McGill. He describes the course in clinical medicine and microscope that Osler taught during the summer session. He writes of the medical services Osler and others rendered at the Hotel at Tadoussac and for the Governor General, Lord Dufferin, and his family.
