Letter to Cushing. Harvey from A.R. Neligan, Tehran, Persia. Neligan regrets that he did not keep any of the letters he received from Osler. He explains that plans to repair the Tomb of Avicenna at Hamadan were spoiled by the war, but he is currently raising money to renew the project.

Letter to William Osler from R. Levy, Civil Commissions, Baghdad, Iraq. Levy writes of three "first rate" Arabists: J.L. Norton, J.I. Eadie, Dr. Van Ess, and Père Anastase. Levy expresses his willingness to accept a post at the Bodleian Library under Dr. Cowley.

Letter to William Osler from the Captain for the Persia Society, 22, Albemarle Street, London, England. The Captain of the Persia Society writes that the present conditions in Persia are considered propitious for undertaking repairs to the Tomb of Avicenna at Hamadan.

Letter to William Osler from A.R. Neligan, British Legation, Tehran, Persia. Neligan has just received Osler's letters from earlier in the year, as the post has just returned to regular service for the first time since 1917. He reports that Sa'eed is well and that he has just sent Osler a rare work by Avicenna. After consulting with Sa'eed, Neligan believes they should postpone repairs of the Tomb of Avicenna at Hamadan until 1920.

Letter to William Osler from M. Sa'eed, Hassanahad, Tehran, Persia. Sa'eed writes of rare Arabic texts that he has procured for Osler. He hopes that the Persian carpet he sent to Lady Osler has already arrived. He extends his sympathy over the death of Osler's son. Sa'eed often consults Osler's text book in the treatment of his own patients.

Letter to A.R. Neligan from William Osler. Osler sends his greetings to Sa'eed. He agrees that plans to collect money for repairs of the Tomb of Avicenna at Hamadan should be postponed until 1920.

Letter to R. Levy from William Osler. Osler would like to find Sa'eed, who he has not heard of for a couple of years. He would like to continue with the arrangements made before the war to repair the Tomb of Avicenna at Hamadan. He is awaiting permission from the Shah.
