This series consists of many photographs, mostly black and white, (1929-1935, 1967-1984). Many of them can be identified in Alice Johannsen's book or within the scrapbook or the files themselves. Some of these photographic prints are also in the Archives photographic inventory. Subject matter ranges from skiing events and family gatherings to miscellaneous prints sent by fans. Many are snapshots but there are a number of press photographs.

This series consists of passports, other travel documents and family papers.

This series includes maps made by or used by Johannsen for trails and other purposes.

Most of the newsclippings in this collection are about ski related activities such as the Jackrabbit Ski League, various competitions, or about Herman's great longevity. They range from 1966-67 and 1974-1981.

This series contains a scrapbook commemorating Jackrabbit's 90th birthday in 1965. It is composed of collected anecdotes, photographs and correspondence. Handwritten markers have been placed in the book. These were possibly written by Alice in her research for the book "The Legendary Jackrabbit Johannsen".

This series of Johannsen's journals record his day to day activities and are not contemplative in nature.
