He reports that Sa'eed is well and that he has just sent Osler a rare work by Avicenna. After consulting with Sa'eed, Neligan believes they should postpone repairs of the Tomb of Avicenna at Hamadan until 1920.

Neligan will ask his local Tehran friends to find books for Osler. He sends his own photographs of Avicenna's tomb, taken during his visit to Hamadan in the summer of 1910.
