Translations

This series consists of poems translated by Endre Farkas into English and French. A large portion of this translations are of a Hungarian poet named Bari Karoly, with whom Farkas was good friends.

Photographs & visual materials

This series consists of photographs, posters, and advertisements for Endre Farkas’ plays and associated artists. It also includes maps from Farkas’ trip to Budapest.

Poetry

The poetry series consists of textual documents related to Stephen Scobie’s work as a poet. This includes drafts of individual poems, drafts and manuscripts of Scobie’s collected and published works, and editorial notes, in a mixture of typed and handwritten. The series also includes reviews of Scobie’s published poetry collections, correspondence concerning publications and/or performances, advertisements for performances, and publications that featured Scobie’s poetry. Stephen Scobie was the creator of the majority of the records in this series, other creators are only included with written reviews or correspondence. The series is mostly located in Container 3, with some files within Container 4 and 5.

Catalogues and bookseller descriptions

Series consists of bookseller descriptions and catalogue clippings of Bewick works (generally with the catalogue cover appended to a loose page on which Bewick item appears). One folder contains numerous bookseller descriptions printed from internet sale listings. Some items have accompanying correspondence or Geraldine Cole's notes and annotations regarding purchase inquiries. The series also contains a listing of all the items in the Cole-Bewick Collection sold to McGill Library and three spiral-bound volumes containing bibliographic citations and some notes on all the items in the Cole-Bewick Collection in alphabetical order.

Poetry

This series contains Canadian poetry and art books, some in numbered editions; poetry magazines in unusual formats; some containing his own poems.

Miscellaneous

This series contains various documents related to the life and career of F. R. Scott: a copy of thesis about him; papers from student; article written by his son and published in "La Nation"; legal documentation; tributes; address book (restricted access); and a Scott family tree carried back to John Scott who emigrated in 1831, with accompanying note from F. R. Scott.

Art Catalogues and Illustrations

Series contains published and textual materials including one published book written and illustrated by Selwyn Dewdney, an art exhibition catalogue, and an art exhibition pamphlet. The exhibition catalogue for “Signed and Dated” describes the three artists whose works were featured (Selwyn Dewdney, Clare Bice and Jim Kemp) as being moving forces in the London, Ontario art scene in the 1950s and 1960s. The catalogue details Bice, Kemp and Dewdney’s roles as active members of the Western Art League and their contributions to the London art scene including Bice’s thirty-two year tenure as curator at the London Public Library and Art Museum. The exhibition pamphlet is related to Selwyn and Irene Dewdney’s research in the field of art therapy, their collaborative artistic practices, and their collection of artworks related to art therapy.
