This file is a bound volume which contains a summary written by Casey A. Wood about the development of the Emma Shearer Wood Library of Ornithology's book plate which features Wood's parrot John III from 1918-1922. The original 1918 drawing for the opening of the library by government engraver G. F. C. Smillie from Washington, DC, is contained in this file as well as 3 other versions of the book plate by them. There are also four book plates of the second design for the library by Bumpus of London designed by M. P. Barrett.

This file contains falconry equipment from approximately 1920-1936 crafted by Otto Kals and Captain R. L. Meredith for Dr. Casey A. Wood for McGill’s Redpath Library. Within this file are two lures, one three-fingered glove, eight exhibit cards, three falcon bells, three item labels, and nine hoods. Three of these hoods were fashioned in the styles of Anglo-Indian, Indian, and Dutch. The contents of the original container have been respected in their rehousing.

This file contains falconry equipment from approximately 1930-1936 crafted by Otto Kals for Casey A. Wood and gifted to the McGill Library. Within this file are two saddlebags used to carry the game hunted by the falcon or hawk, one pair of leather gloves, one knife and sheath, and one pigeon-wing lure. This file also contains six exhibit name cards for these items with a description for the falconers’ gloves. The arrangement of items within this file has been respected during rehousing.
