Letter from Anatole Chauffard, 11, rue de Bellechasse, Paris, France, to Harvey Cushing. Chauffard has no letters of interest from Osler to give to Cushing for his research. However, he spent time with Osler on his trip to France in 1909 and got to know him well. Osler bequeathed a rare edition of the works of Ambrois Paré to the Library of the Paris Medical Faculty. Chauffard is saddened by Osler's premature death.

Jackson writes that he got to know Osler in the Library of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Osler and Jackson began practicing in Philadelphia around the same time.
