Letter to William Osler, June 30, 1904

Letter to William Osler from Sir John Burdon Sanderson, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Burdon-Sanderson understands that Osler has accepted to be Dr. Strong's guest during his stay at Oxford. However, in order that they may discuss Osler's appointment as Regius Professor of Medicine, Burdon-Sanderson requests that Osler agree to stay with him for the first part of his trip. Although Sanderson agrees with Osler that Ritchie merited the appointment to the Regius Professorship, the university authorities made that an impossibility.

Letter to John Whitridge Williams from William Osler, 13, Norham Gardens, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Will let him know later, as there is a difficulty about registration. It may be possible to arrange. Deplores that the Unit did not come. The Harvard Unit and the Chicago Unit have had a good experience. The Chicago Unit has signed for a year. They are moving out of the tents which are not suited to the climate. All well. His opinion is that USA should get their boats ready. If the Allies go under, their turn comes next.

Letter to John Lynn Thomas, May 3, 1916

Letter to John Lynn Thomas from William Osler, From the Regius Professor of Medicine, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Says that they must get the profession of the principality at the back of the school. It may be done through the Public Health Institute. Has written to Ontario for the scheme which is successful there. His opinion is that there is no reason why a distinguished practitioner should not be on one of each of the medical election committees. Asks him when the branches of the British Medical Association meet. Suggestion for a medical education symposium.
