The fonds consists of records created and accumulated in the course of the Montreal Dental Club's activities from 1897 until 1997 and contains administrative files, 1897-1994; minutes, 1897-1994; correspondence, 1930-1995; financial reports/books, 1897-1909, 1934-1947, 1973-1979; scrapbooks and news clippings, 1888-1963; newsletters, 1961-1981; Fall Clinic records, 1938-1939, 1964-1977; copies of the club's journal, Insight, 1989-1995; four histories of the Montreal Dental Club and the McGill Dental School, 1897-1947, 1946-1997, 1997; and four photos and negatives of a club dinner dance. In addition, the fonds includes undated miscellaneous scientific papers.
Martin's papers consist of her diaries, written from 1924 to 1925 and from 1939 until her death, an address book, and a notebook recording donations made by her between 1973 and 1985. Her diaries document mainly her leisure activities, the many churches she attended, and her travels, but also refer to major world political events, the activities of the Royal Family, and anecdotes concerning her work. Inserted in the diaries are photographs of Martin and her friends, postage stamps, pamphlets, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia.
The fonds consists of Ethel M. Doull's three Normal School certificates; the First Book of Reading Lessons Part I and Part II; tickets of admission to the library, museum and gym; grades for Normal School courses; letters of reference; pamphlets for school children to celebrate Empire Day; and 4 photographs, depicting Doull and the Normal School classes.
The fonds consists of diaries, private ledger and cash book, architectural drawings, news clippings, correspondence, one seal, one measuring tape, and photographs relating to J.S. Costigan and family.
The collection consists of Dr. Powles handwritten notes on some of his medical lectures between 1940 and 1943 as well as three files of course notes related to neurosurgery and neurology, 1943; psychiatry 1942-1950; and sociology, anthropology 1948-1949. There are laboratory note books with drawings, some printed copies of selected exams and printed laboratory handouts. One file contains material relating to his attendance at the Officers' Training School in Brockville, Ontario in 1944 and other papers relating to his service career. There are two maps of military exercises in the North.
In addition there are 2 files of correspondence regarding academic appointments at the University of Cincinnati (1958-1966) and Queen's University (1966- ), and one scrapbook page containing individual sketches of C.P. Martin, Hans Selye, Dr. Dworkin, and David Thompson with clippings on the reverse about a wedding.
There are twelve photographs, one of which is a group photograph of the officers at the Training School.
The Dorothy Nichol fonds contains artifacts and textural material regarding MSPE 1949, a certificate from McGill University's Women's Athletics Board to Dorothy Nichol and an Old McGill and program.
The fonds consists of negatives and photos of student life at Macdonald College between 1948 and 1952, taken during Edward Isenberg's four years at the college. In addition, the fonds includes a single Macdonald yearbook dated 1950.
