Swiss "guignols". A collection of 16 glove puppets from a puppet theatre in Geneva. 10 figures, with carved wooden heads of 10 cm in height, 4 with waxed features over the wood. All with wooden hands, and 5 with wooden legs and feet; 2 with carved hats. One costume is marked "Jean La Garçon Boucher". Others represent a young girl, a policeman, a woman (Judy?), an 18th century gallant, etc. Three carved wooden heads, 8-13 cm high; 2 with carved hats attached: a queen, a soldier, a sailor; marked "Renée Odier".
