Gibson will be pleased to have his 3rd sound article, having been working at the subject. He has too much teaching with the Pathology classes. Invitation to come during Summer. Hopes to see him in September. Few men from this side are going, but they are quality men. Positive comments on Hamman's work on Tuberculosis in Maryland. Meyer is his man for Phipps new psychiatric clinic. Cabot has had a good visit. Mentions that the Heart Section in Vol. IV is inferior to what Thayer could have written. He is disappointed that some sections are not quite up to date. Pratt's section is A.1. Civilities.

Jack McCrae, Campbell Gwyn, and one of his nephews with two friends were there for Christmas. Details of the Christmas in the wards of the Examination Schools. They do not have many serious cases and no typhoid. Archibald Malloch who visited them for Christmas said there were nearly 3000 cases in the Dunkirk district. The country is doing well and they are optimistic as the Germans are still in Belgium. American sympathy, moral and pecuniary, are very appreciated in England. Civilities.
