Letter to Sir John MacAlister from William Osler. The Historical Section of the Royal Society of Medicine has approved Osler's scheme to restore the Tomb of Avicenna at Hamadan. Osler will also seek approval from the Presidents of the College of Physicians and the College of Surgeons, and would like the work to be done under the auspices of the French Society for the History of Medicine. He is also awaiting official sanction from the Persian Government.

Mentions that Hebert was a shady fellow of the Medical Chirurgical and knows nothing of his work. He only knows that Hebert is badly mixed up in that French case.
