He sends letters of introduction to Drs. Dorland and Stark, both McGill men in Milwaukee, for Ogden. He encourages Ogden to move to Toronto and offers to give him good introductions there. He relates news of Marian Francis, Mr. Cantlie, Dr. Buller, and Dr. Rogers. Incl. ms. notes.

He is now working in Cohnheim's Lab. He will go to London in July and leave for home in August. He asks for Mr. Cantlie's address and sends his regards to Dr. Dorland.

Osler informs Ogden of his interest in accepting the appointment to the Chair of Clinical Medicine in Philadelphia. He is fairly confident that he will be elected to the position. He is tempted by the larger medical centre and the prospects of consulting work in Philadelphia. He is grieved at the thought of leaving McGill and Howard, but they will get on without him, as "any one man is never essential." He reports that Marian Francis and her children are well. He will return to Canada with his aunt [Miss Mary Anne Pickton]. [See CUS417/80.51]
