Part of Jean Drapeau Collection
The album is comprised of 16 boards in a ring binder containing 19 large black and white photographs and 9 smaller colour photographs taken outside of the Czechoslovak Pavilion during the 1976 season of the exposition, Man and His World (Terre des Hommes). The 19 photographs are professional productions, depicting exterior and interior views of the pavilion; one is a portrait showing Montreal mayor Jean Drapeau shaking hands with another man; and one is a portrait of a pair of dancers in traditional costume. Most of the 9 colour photographs depict a performance by costumed dancers. The album also contains some 1976 Olympics memorabilia, including a red pennant from the 1976 Olympics and six illustrated pages apparently taken from a pamphlet titled "Czechoslovakia : the land of Olympic medals /Tchécoslovaquie : pays des médailles Olympiques." An image of a woman in traditional dress holding a tray containing the customary Slavic welcome greeting of bread and salt represents International Women's Year (1975), featuring the IWY emblem, a stylized dove with a female symbol and an equal sign.
