This collection is an artificial collection containing archival material related to McGill University. The material in this collection was created over time by McGill administration, staff, faculty, and students, between roughly 1800 and 2019. The subject of the material varies, but the collection generally documents the activities of the university and its staff, and the experiences of McGill students, both during their studies and after graduation.

The collection is arranged by form/genre into 7 series: 01 Documents, 02 Ephemera, 03 Scrapbooks and notebooks, 04 Graphic materials, 05 Audiovisual materials, 06 Textiles, 07 Artifacts. This arrangement was chosen because of the collection’s size, and because it was artificially created by the University’s archives by combining many smaller collections and fonds.

This file contains textual material related to Sir Wilfrid Laurier centenary. Includes an address by the Right Honourable W.L. Mackenzie King, newspaper clippings, and an issue of the McGill Daily (Vol. XXI, No. 36).

This file contains five issues of "Campus" magazine: December 1970, February 1971, April 1971 (3 copies).

This file contains an issue of "El Machete" Vol. 1, No. 1.

This file contains miscellaneous documents including three copies of McGill Guide to Student Services, three copies of announcement of PGSS ski trip, memo about meeting of the Students' Society of McGill University, blank "Residence Room Damages" form, notice to all McGill clubs and societies, announcement of workshop given by the Centre for Developing-Area Studies, and a job posting for exam invigilators.

This file contains newspapers. Four copies of travel guide "Gulliver" Spring 1972. Two newspapers by Sir George Williams University students (now Concordia): "The Paper" Vol. 4, No. 14, "The Georgian" Vol. 35, No. 3.
