Québec. 1871.” Small handmade notebook with 8 additional leaves of text and sketches laid in (7 x 7 cm). Caption title on page 1 reads: “Cours d’Hygiène par le Dr Frs. H. Larue. 18 Avril 1871.”

The fonds consists of six bound manuscripts of notes on medicine written in 1871 and 1872 by Joseph Odilon Lauriault while he was a medical student at Laval University. Includes notes on lectures given by Dr. Simard, Dr. Landry, Dr. Jackson, and Dr. Larue, on topics including surgery, birth, pathology, and gynecology.

Manuscript notebook entitled, “Maladies des femmes. Dr Jackson.” Inscribed by Lauriault on front flyleaf. Additional notes on flyleaf on treatment of “la varicèle” (chickenpox or varicella). Small newspaper clipping tipped in on front pastedown. 1 additional leaf laid in.

Manuscript notebook containing two sets of lecture notes from two medical courses. The first part of the notebook is entitled, "Maladie des oreilles, Volume III, Dr Simard." The second section of the notebook is entitled, "Toxicologie, Dr Larue." Second half is paginated 1-142. Notebook inscribed by Lauriault on front flyleaf.
