The holdings of the CAC reflect Bland's dual career as educator and architect. John Bland was responsible for assembling the materials which now form the archives of the CAC. There are 71 projects from the John Bland Archive that consist of drawings, photographs, and reports. These projects are grouped under series based on Bland's architectural partnerships. Other literary material, such as his publications, lectures, and unpublished papers, offer insight into the plethora of subjects that captivated Professor Bland's interest. The archive is rounded out with articles by others on John Bland and his work, as well as his personal collection of slides, maps, and books.

"Architectural Drawings, 1965-71, 506 drawings" Includes measured drawings of historic architecture in Montreal executed by Bland's undergraduate architecture students from the School of Architecture at McGill University.
"Papers, n.d., 1959-1989, 17.1 m." Seven hundred and fifty-six undergraduate student papers dealing mainly with Montreal architecture are found in the archive.

"Dessins architecturaux, 1965-1971, 506 dessins." Englobent les relevés architecturaux d'édifices historiques de Montréal exécutés par des étudiants en architecture de 1" cycle de Bland à l'École d'architecture de l'Université McGill.
"Travaux, s.d., 1959-1989, 171 m." Sept cent cinquante-six travaux d'étudiants de 1er cycle se rapportant surtout à l'architecture de Montréal font partie de ce fonds.

"Papers, n.d., 70 cm." Sixty-four undergraduate student papers on historic Quebec architecture are found in this archive.

Fonds consists of 6 architectural drawings (1949-1965) representing two projects: alterations to a house in Montreal for A. Bronfman on Belvedere Road and a plan for the Galerie d'art, Cite du Havre in Montreal, for the Canadian Corporation for the 1967 World Exhibition. Bland served as a consulting architect on this project which was designed by the firm of Gauthier and Guité and Gilles Côté. Fonds also contains an Ontario Association of Architects membership certificate for Bland.

"Dessins architecturaux, 1949-1965, 6 dessins." Deux projets sont représentés par des dessins les modifications apportées à une maison à Montréal pour A. Bronfman, chemin du Belvédère, et le plan d'une galerie d'art à la Cité du havre de Montréal réalisée pour le compte de la Société Radio-Canada pour l'Exposition mondiale de 1967. Bland a été architecte-conseil pour ce projet qui a été réalisé par le cabinet Gauthier et Guité et par Gilles Côté.
"Documents professionnels, s.d., 0,5 cm" Le fonds contient le certificat d'adhésion de Bland à l'Ordre des architectes de l'Ontario.

"Architectural Drawings, 1949-57, 200 drawings." Nine projects are documented in the archives by drawings. The majority of the drawings are for the design of the Freedman (Camel) Co. Factory Building (1954-5) in Montreal, a proposal for a housing development for the town of St. Laurent, PQ (1952-4), an office building on Peel Street in Montreal (1950) and the Dorval Garden Apartment Building in Dorval, PQ (1949).
"Photographs, 1952-5, 3 photographs." Included are photographs of a proposed housing development for the town of St. Laurent and of the Brockville and Elizabethtown planning area in Ontario (1955).

"Dessins architecturaux, 1949-1957, 200 dessins." Neuf projets sont documentés par des dessins. Le plus grand nombre de ces dessins se rapporte aux plans de l'usine Freedman (Camel) Company de Montréal (1954-1955), à une proposition de projet domiciliaire pour la ville de Saint-Laurent (Québec) (1952-1954), à un immeuble à bureaux rue Peel à Montréal (1950) et à l'immeuble à appartements Dorval Garden à Dorval (Québec) (1949).
