File consists of approximately 153 Christmas cards dating from 1977. Many include winter scenes and traditional Christmas scenes, including Santa Claus, snowy landscapes, angels, mothers and children, birds, as well as images of various universities and libraries. Cards producers and artists include the University of Winnipeg, Simon Fraser University, Elaine Lustig Cohen, Krajowa Agencja Wydawnicza, the Museum of Modern Art, Victoria and Albert Museum, McGill Unviesrity, Acadia University, Hallmark, Metropolitan Artists, etc.

Greeting companies like Hallmark and Carleton Cards are represented later on chronologically in the series. Many cards during the 1940s reflect various international aid efforts.
