Hicks, Charles H.

Charles H. Hicks was an American zoologist and entomologist active during the early-to-mid 20th century, best known for his extensive research on the nesting behaviours, prey habits, and life histories of solitary wasps and bees. He was prominently affiliated with the University of Colorado, Boulder and later worked with the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). After Hicks' passing, his wife donated his extensive collection of insect specimens to the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History.
