History
Gerald Fitzgerald graduated from the University of St. Joseph with a B.A. in 1935 and a M.A. in 1937. In 1943 he received his Ph.D. from Ottawa. He served as a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization judicial board (1946-1952) and later as Senior Legal Officer. He lectured on aviation law, hijacking and ICAO in the Faculty of Law's Institute of Air and Space Law 1959-62, 1964-1980s.
