History

Thomas Edward Fell was born on May 25, 1873, in Ulverston, Lancashire, England.

He graduated from Cambridge University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1897. He subsequently served as a British colonial official, holding the positions of Colonial Secretary of Fiji and His Britannic Majesty's High Commissioner for the Western Pacific. He was appointed a Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (C.M.G.).

He died at sea on May 17, 1926, while on the steamer Ruapehu. He has a memorial in Ulverston, England.
